M0VE vs. MacroFactor
MacroFactor is a macro tracker built around an adaptive algorithm. It estimates your energy expenditure from your weight trend and what you log, and updates your calories and macros at a weekly check-in. Logging is quick, with AI photo, barcode and nutrition label scanning. M0VE is built for endurance athletes. It sets your calories, carbs, protein and fat every morning from the training you have planned, and plans your carbs per hour for the session itself.
In short. MacroFactor is a strong choice for a diet goal, like losing or gaining weight at a steady rate. M0VE is for athletes who want their daily food and their session fuel planned around the training they actually do.

A plan that moves each week, or each day
MacroFactor's strength is its expenditure estimate. It compares your weight trend with what you log, then adjusts your calories and macros at a check-in once a week. It does not use the calorie burn from your watch, because it says wearables don't estimate expenditure well.
M0VE starts from your training. Your calories, carbs, protein and fat are rebuilt every morning around what is on your plan. A rest day, a training day and a race day each get their own numbers, because they are not the same day.
Carbs per hour for the session itself
During a session, the question is how many grams of carbs to take each hour. A carbs per hour target is not listed on MacroFactor's website or help centre. M0VE sets one for every session from its duration, power and sport, splits it across the session, and flags when anything over 60 g an hour needs mixed carbs. You can always change it.

Gels, drinks and bars, already in the app
MacroFactor has a large verified food database. A catalogue of sports fuel to plan a session with is not listed. In M0VE, gels, chews, bars and drinks are built in by brand and type, with their carbs, so you tap what you will carry straight into your session fuel.
Where MacroFactor wins
If your goal is to change your body weight at a steady rate, MacroFactor is very good at it. Its weekly check-ins adapt to your real expenditure, logging is quick with photo, barcode and label scanning, and the app is ad-free. There is also a separate MacroFactor Workouts app for strength training.
