Wahoo
Connecting Wahoo to Cadence Fuel lets the app pull your completed workouts, planned sessions, FTP, and body weight automatically — so your nutrition targets always reflect what you're actually doing.
What syncs
Once connected, Cadence Fuel pulls the following from your Wahoo account each time you open the app:
Completed activities — cycling, running, swimming, and triathlon workouts with duration and power data
Planned sessions — structured workouts from Wahoo SYSTM appear on your dashboard the day they're scheduled
FTP — your most recent Wahoo fitness test result is used to calibrate training load calculations
Body weight — synced from compatible Wahoo devices or manual entries in the Wahoo app
How to connect
Open Cadence Fuel and tap your profile icon in the top-right corner
Select My Connections
Under Health & Devices, tap Connect next to Wahoo
You'll be taken to the Wahoo website in your browser
Sign in to your Wahoo account and approve access for Cadence Fuel
You'll be redirected back automatically — the connection is live
The Wahoo card will show a Disconnect button once the connection is active.
How it works
Cadence Fuel fetches your Wahoo data in the background whenever you open the app or navigate to the dashboard. Completed activities contribute to your daily training load score, which is used to adjust your calorie, carbohydrate, and hydration targets for that day.
Planned sessions from Wahoo SYSTM are surfaced on your dashboard so you can see upcoming training and prepare your nutrition in advance — without any manual entry.
If you complete a session that was planned in SYSTM, the completed workout replaces the planned one automatically.
Training load and targets
Wahoo workouts are weighted by duration and intensity when calculating training load. Power-based rides use normalised power and your FTP to determine an accurate load score. If no power data is available, duration and heart rate (where recorded) are used instead.
Higher training load days increase your carbohydrate and calorie targets. Rest days and easy sessions reduce them. This happens automatically — you don't need to manually adjust anything.
Troubleshooting
The Connect button opens a browser but nothing returns to the app Make sure Cadence Fuel is allowed to handle links. On iOS, check Settings > Cadence Fuel and ensure nothing is blocking URL handling. On Android, check that Cadence Fuel is set as the default handler for its URL scheme.
My workouts aren't showing up Check My Connections — if the Wahoo row shows a Connect button rather than Disconnect, the authorisation has expired. Tap Connect to re-authorise. This can happen after changing your Wahoo password.
FTP hasn't updated after a fitness test FTP syncs from your most recent Wahoo 4DP or SYSTM fitness test result. If you've recently completed a test and the value hasn't updated, try disconnecting and reconnecting Wahoo from My Connections to trigger a fresh sync.
Planned sessions aren't appearing on my dashboard Planned sessions are fetched for the currently selected date. Navigate to the date the session is scheduled on and it should appear. Sessions must be in your Wahoo SYSTM plan — free-ride workouts are not treated as planned sessions.
Disconnecting
To remove the Wahoo integration, go to My Connections and tap Disconnect next to Wahoo. This revokes Cadence Fuel's access token and stops all syncing. Your existing logged data and workout history in Cadence Fuel is not affected.
You can reconnect at any time by tapping Connect again.
